What is the Anglican Church?
:: The Anglican Communion is the fourth largest denomination in the world. Founded during the Reformation, Anglicans emphasize Protestant faith and theology without disregarding many of the apostolic traditions passed down from the early church. Anglicanism has no unique thought, practice, creed, or confession of its own. It has only the historic Faith of the ancient Church: built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the chief cornerstone, upheld in the Scriptures, preserved in the Creeds, and maintained by the one, true, holy, catholic, and apostolic Faith.
The Anglican Mission in America
:: The Anglican Mission began in August 2000 as a missionary outreach of the Province of the Anglican Church of Rwanda. We are an integral part of an historic, world-wide, missionary movement focused on worship, making disciples of Jesus Christ, and outreach. As Anglicans, we not only enjoy a unique connection to our African brothers and sisters in Christ, we belong to a global family of some 77 million Christians in 164 countries across the world.
