Love Like Jesus
Doing What Jesus Did
:: The outward sign of becoming more like Jesus is actually doing the things Jesus did. In Jesus’ last object lesson before going to the cross, He took a basin and towel and preformed the most menial task of His day—He washed feet. Then He said: “Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another's feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them” (John 13:14-17). Later on the same night, Jesus promises that all those who remain connected to Him, and love one another as He loves us (through sacrificial service)—will be filled with His joy (John 15:11).
We are making a difference by serving with Christ's love to strengthen the church, bless the city, and reach the world with the Father's love.
